I have a new work area for school work and sewing.  I am up to my messy ways!

I am working on a needle case for our guild.  It is to be part of the project of the month. 

Next block in wool and flower garden

I have been hand sewing again at night and finished another wool block and flower garden block.  They are so different from one another, but both fun to work on.

Our mini group met yesterday at County Quilts and Bears, http://www.countryquiltsandbears.blogspot.com/ to start a new project, Kim McLeans Flower Garden, http://www.gloriouscolor.com/store.php?cat=362.  It was so much fun to pick fabrics together and set up the first three blocks.  The first picture shows the two little gifts I made for Heather, a mini wall hanging and a notebook cover.  We celebrated her birthday a little early.  Roni did not share that her birthday was Friday, so she will get a little celebration a little late, next time we meet.  The second picture is the first block I finished for Flower Garden.  I just love the bright fabrics!

I am participating in the block of the week with Primitive Gatherings.  I finished the first four mini blocks and two of the flower blocks.  My friend Heather is also making these blocks and we decided to use a cream herringbone flannel instead of the black.  I have made lots of small wool projects but this is the first quilt. 

I am excited to enter the world of blogging.  I follow many blogs and now it is my time to share.
I teach middle school and am off for the summer, so I have time to sew.
I completed quilting a Christmas project from a few years ago.  This summer I am trying to catch up and complete some old, I mean ancient projects!
